Performance and Protocol Support
The PowerBeam ac ISO leverages airMAX ac mode and supports selectable channel bandwidths from 10 to 80 MHz in PtP mode and 10 to 40 MHz in PtMP mode. Integrated traffic shaping with burst support enables precise bandwidth control, while WMM packet classification with customizable priority levels (High, Medium, Low) ensures differentiated QoS for real-time applications.
For distance adjustment, the dynamic ACK mechanism and ackless mode are available, allowing automatic optimization of transmission parameters based on link distance. The bridge operates in either Access Point or Station mode and supports 30, 50, and 60 MHz channel widths for additional flexibility in unlicensed frequency bands.
Rugged Design for Outdoor Use
Built for continuous operation in extreme weather conditions, the device features a housing made of UV-stabilized polycarbonate and powder-coated SPCC steel, resisting wind speeds up to 200 km/h and a wind load of 380 N at 200 km/h. The included pole-mount bracket ensures secure installation on masts.
Comprehensive environmental testing confirms its durability: salt fog test per IEC 68-2-11 (ASTM B117) equivalent to MIL-STD-810 G Method 509.5, temperature shock test per IEC 68-2-14, UV test per IEC 68-2-5 at 40 °C (equivalent to ETS 300 019-1-4), vibration test per IEC 68-2-6, and wind-driven rain test per ETS 300 019-1-4 (equivalent to MIL-STD-810 G Method 506.5). Operating temperature ranges from -40 to 70 °C at 5 to 95 % non-condensing humidity.
Management and Network Services
The PowerBeam ac ISO provides extensive network services: bridging, DHCP, Ping Watchdog, routing, SNMP, SSH, and an integrated web server for configuration. The Ubiquiti Discovery Protocol simplifies device detection on the network. Detailed statistical reporting on data rates, Ethernet link rate, packet errors, uptime, and wireless distance offers deep insights into link performance.
Power is supplied via passive PoE (2-pair, 4, 5+; 7, 8 return) with an included 24V, 0.5A Gigabit PoE adapter. The supported voltage range is 20–27 V DC, with a maximum power consumption of 8.5 W. LEDs for signal strength, power, and Ethernet provide at-a-glance status indication.
