Function & Application

The Multichannel VPN Hub 5020 acts as a VPN concentrator for VPN tunnels established by multichannel VPN routers, transmitting data over multiple bonded broadband connections. These bonds are terminated in a star topology with a Multichannel VPN Hub at the data center, where data is decrypted and forwarded to its original destination.

With a bonding capacity of up to 5 Gbps, the device is suitable for managing up to 250 different VPN sites, depending on the use case. The recommended number of sites is 75. The hub is thus designed for large network infrastructures and internet service providers.

Design & Power Supply

The device is housed in a 19-inch 1U form factor and measures 435 x 44 x 410 mm, weighing 6.4 kg. Five fans ensure system cooling.

Power is supplied via two integrated IEC sockets at a rated voltage of 100–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz. The maximum current draw is 2 A at 230 VAC, with a maximum power consumption of 150 watts and typical power consumption of 100 watts.
