Performance & Throughput

The switch provides eight 10/100/1000 Mbps ports with a switching capacity of 16 Gbps and a maximum forwarding rate of 11.9 Mpps. Store-and-forward switching with head-of-line blocking prevention ensures reliable packet delivery, and jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes are supported for efficient large-payload transfers. The MAC address table accommodates 4160 entries, and IGMP snooping supports up to 128 groups for multicast traffic management.

Power over Ethernet

All eight ports deliver Power over Ethernet compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at, with a maximum of 30 W per PoE port. The total PoE power budget is 64 W, suitable for powering IP surveillance cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP handsets from a single device. VLAN & Quality of Service

The switch supports 802.1Q tagged VLAN with up to 32 static VLAN groups and a maximum of 4094 VIDs. Port-based VLAN, Voice VLAN, Surveillance VLAN, Management VLAN, and Asymmetric VLAN modes are available to segment traffic for different deployment scenarios. Quality of Service is provided through IEEE 802.1p with four queues per port, queue handling in Strict or Weighted Round Robin modes, port-based bandwidth control with a minimum granularity of 8 Kb/s, and DSCP marking.

Security & Layer 2 Features

Security capabilities include static MAC address filtering with up to 32 entries, traffic segmentation, broadcast/multicast/unknown unicast storm control, and port security. Layer 2 features extend to 802.3x flow control, static trunking with support for 2 groups, loopback detection, cable diagnostics, and port mirroring in one-to-one and many-to-one modes. Auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX simplify cabling, with half-duplex operation at 10/100 Mbps and full-duplex at 1000 Mbps.

Management is accessible through a web-based GUI supporting IPv4 and the D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) client utility.
