Performance & Throughput

The DAP-2682 operates simultaneously in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands under IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2. In the 5 GHz band, it achieves data rates of up to 1,700 Mbit/s, and up to 600 Mbit/s in the 2.4 GHz band, resulting in a maximum combined Wi-Fi data rate of 2,300 Mbit/s. MU-MIMO combined with SmartBeam beamforming enables simultaneous client connectivity and targeted signal focusing to end devices. Band steering automatically directs suitable clients to the less congested 5 GHz band, reducing load on the 2.4 GHz spectrum.

Four internal dual-band antennas with 3.7 dBi gain at 2.4 GHz and 4.8 dBi at 5 GHz ensure comprehensive coverage. The maximum transmit power is 16 dBm in the 2.4 GHz band and 24 dBm in the 5 GHz band (ETSI compliant). Auto Channel Selection automatically chooses the least congested radio channel, while AP Traffic Load Balance distributes clients dynamically across multiple access points based on load.

Security & Compliance

The access point supports WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise, as well as WPA/WPA2-Personal/Enterprise and 64/128-bit WEP encryption options. TKIP and AES encryption are available, and WPA_WPA2_PSK over WDS is also supported. An internal RADIUS server enables 802.1X authentication without external infrastructure.

Wireless network security features include rogue AP detection, MAC address filtering, SSID broadcast disabling, WLAN partitioning, and station isolation. On the Ethernet level, the DAP-2682 supports IGMP snooping and ARP spoofing detection. The device is certified to FCC, CE, and UL standards.

Management & Features

As a software-managed AP, the DAP-2682 can be centrally managed via Nuclias Connect; the Nuclias Connect Hub DNH-100 is also supported as management hardware. For local administration, web (HTTP), Secure Socket Layer (SSL), Telnet, Secure Telnet (SSH), and a CLI are available. SNMP is supported in versions v1, v2c, and v3, complemented by Syslog and NTP.

The access point provides a DHCP server and supports IPv6. Up to 16 SSIDs can be configured, each with individual security and access policies. A Wi-Fi scheduler enables time-controlled WLAN availability, and WMM-PS/802.11e (U-APSD) is supported for QoS management. The four operating modes—Access Point, WDS Bridge, WDS with AP, and Wireless Client—cover a range of deployment scenarios.

Design & Power Supply

The DAP-2682 is designed for indoor use and housed in a plastic enclosure measuring 190 x 190 x 43.7 mm. It weighs 551.6 g without the mounting bracket and 605.2 g with the mounting bracket. Power is supplied via 802.3at Power over Ethernet on the first Gigabit LAN port; alternatively, a 12V/2.5A power adapter (not included) can be used. The maximum power consumption is 15.5 W. Ethernet standards include IEEE 802.3u/ab and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet.

The Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of the DAP-2682 is rated at 341,897 hours. The permissible operating humidity range is 10% to 90% (non-condensing), and storage humidity ranges from 5% to 95% (non-condensing). The storage temperature range is -20 °C to 65 °C.
