Connectivity & Performance

The MAX BR2 LTEA features two integrated CAT-7 cellular modems, each achieving data rates of 300 Mbit/s downlink and 150 Mbit/s uplink. Redundant SIM slots per modem support Nano-SIM (4FF), Peplink eSIM, and BYO eSIM with two profiles per modem, as well as RemoteSIM via a SIM injector and FusionSIM options. A 10/100/1000M Ethernet WAN port enables wired connections with support for PPPoE, static IP, and DHCP, while four 10/100/1000M Ethernet LAN ports serve wired devices. The router achieves a throughput of 300 Mbit/s and is designed for 1 to 60 users.

SpeedFusion VPN & Security

SpeedFusion VPN technology combines multiple internet connections into a single data stream and provides hot failover, smoothing, and bandwidth bonding. SpeedFusion VPN throughput reaches 80 Mbit/s without encryption and 60 Mbit/s with 256-bit AES encryption. The router supports 2 to 5 SpeedFusion VPN peers. IPsec VPN is also available for network-to-network connections. Security features include a stateful firewall, DoS protection, and web blocking, with 256-bit AES encryption and pre-shared key authentication used for VPN tunnels.

Power Supply & Deployment

The rugged metal housing operates in a temperature range of -40° to 65°C and at a humidity of 15% to 95% (non-condensing). Power is supplied via a Micro-Fit connector (12V to 30V DC), a power adapter with 100V to 240V AC input and 12V DC output, a terminal block (12V to 30V DC) for mobile deployments, or 802.3at Power over Ethernet on a GE-LAN port. Typical power consumption is 8W, with a maximum of 13W without USB output. A USB port is available for peripheral devices.

Wi-Fi & GPS

Simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 5 operates on 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz with 2x2 MIMO and is provided via two RP-SMA Wi-Fi antenna connectors. Four SMA cellular antenna connectors serve the two modems, and an integrated GPS module with an SMA GPS antenna connector enables device geolocation, location tracking, and fleet management via InControl 2.

Management & Networking Features

Device management is provided via a web administration interface, a command-line interface, and InControl 2 cloud management, with remote management via InControl and InTouch also supported. Advanced QoS enables individual bandwidth limits and application prioritization for SIP, HTTPS, VPN, and custom applications. Load balancing algorithms include weighted balance, priority, overflow, persistence, least used, lowest latency, enforced distribution, and fastest response time. NAT and IP forwarding, static routes, port forwarding, many-to-one and one-to-one NAT, NAT pool, SIP ALG, H.323 ALG, UPnP, and NAT-PMP are supported. A captive portal with RADIUS authentication, time and usage limits, and a customizable landing page is available for wired LAN clients.

Scope of Delivery

Included in the scope of delivery are a BR2 router, four LTE antennas (ACW-237), two dual-band Wi-Fi antennas (ACW-342), one active GPS antenna (ACW-232), and a 12V/2A 4-pin power adapter (ACW-632). Compatible accessories include the Mobility 42G and Slim 40G antenna systems with GPS, a DIN rail mounting kit (ACW-DIN-M2MS), and DC cables for vehicle installations.
