Cellular connectivity and SIM management

The RUT956 supports 4G LTE Cat 4 networks, with backward compatibility for 3G and 2G cellular generations. Its two SIM slots allow automatic failover between carriers, ensuring data connection continuity if one cellular link fails. Switching scenarios include backup WAN and other failover modes managed by RutOS.

Network and wired interfaces

The router features four Ethernet ports for connecting local equipment or extending an on-site wired network.
