Description

Key Benefits

  • LTE Cat 6: Carrier Aggregation with download speeds up to 300 Mbps
  • Dual SIM: two external SIM card slots (2FF) with SIM-switch functionality
  • Gigabit Ethernet: four 10/100/1000 ports (1 WAN, configurable as LAN, and 3 LAN)
  • Wi-Fi Wave-2: dual-band 802.11ac with access point and station modes
  • Multi-constellation GNSS: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS
  • Railway certification: EN 45545-2

Cellular Connectivity

The RUTX11 operates on 4G/LTE Cat 6 and 3G networks, achieving download speeds up to 300 Mbps thanks to Carrier Aggregation. Cellular features include Multiple PDN, Auto APN, Band Lock, SIM-switch, black and white operator lists, and data and SMS limits. The two external SIM card slots (2FF) allow switching between operators via SIM-switch, and the cellular antenna connectors are 2 x SMA.

Software, Routing, and VPN

The router runs on RutOS, a Linux-based operating system built on OpenWrt. It supports static and dynamic routing via BGP, OSPFv2, RIPv1/v2, EIGRP, and NHRP. Additional routing features include failover (network backup), VLAN with support for up to 128 port- or tag-based VLANs, QoS, load balancing, and routing rules.

For VPN and tunneling, the RUTX11 supports OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE, PPTP, L2TP, Stunnel, DMVPN, SSTP, WireGuard, and ZeroTier.

Industrial Design and Power Supply

The RUTX11 features a Qualcomm quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor at 717 MHz, 256 MB flash memory, and 256 MB RAM. Its aluminum housing offers DIN rail mounting and grounding options. The operating temperature range is -40 °C to 75 °C, and power is supplied via a 4-pin connector with an input voltage range of 9–50 VDC. Dimensions are 115 x 44 x 95 mm with a weight of 456 g.

Interfaces and Positioning

The RUTX11 includes a USB host port, one digital input, and one digital open-collector output, both via a 4-pin connector. The GNSS system supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS, featuring NMEA forwarding, AVL, geofencing, NTP server, and NTP client with synchronization via external NTP server, GNSS, or cellular operator. The GNSS antenna connector is 1 x SMA.

The Wi-Fi antenna connectors are 2 x RP-SMA, and the Bluetooth connector is 1 x RP-SMA. The front panel includes status LEDs for WAN type, connection type, signal strength, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and power.
