Connectivity and Network Features

The TRB255 supports 4G/LTE Cat M1, NB-IoT, and 2G (EGPRS) as cellular technologies. Backward compatibility with 2G networks enables operation in existing infrastructures, while a transition to LPWAN connectivity options is possible if 2G is phased out. The dual SIM feature with automatic failover provides backup WAN scenarios and other switching logic to maintain connectivity during network outages.

Interfaces and Protocols

Via RS232 and RS485 interfaces, the gateway connects serial industrial devices, while the Ethernet interface complements network integration. Multiple inputs and outputs enable remote monitoring and control of connected systems. The device supports Modbus, SMS control, firewall functions, and OpenVPN. An integrated GNSS module delivers positioning services with geofencing functionality.

Management and Power Supply

The TRB255 is compatible with Teltonika Networks' Remote Management System (RMS), allowing for centralized monitoring and configuration. The 9 to 30 V power supply range accommodates a wide variety of industrial power sources. The warranty period is 24 months.

The package includes the gateway, an LTE antenna with a 3-meter cable, a GNSS antenna with a 3-meter cable, a EU power supply, a 1.5-meter Ethernet cable, and a 16-pin terminal connector.
