Power Delivery & Protection
The injector outputs a regulated 24VDC at up to 0.5A, delivering a full 12W to the powered device. Surge protection is implemented in both difference and common mode, with clamping protection rated at 11V on data lines and 60V on power lines. A maximum surge discharge of 1500A (8/20 μs) on the power side and a peak pulse current of 36A (10/1000 μs) on data lines help absorb high-energy transients. The integrated earth ground connection provides a safe path for fault currents, reinforcing overall system resilience.
Compatibility
The POE-24-12W is specifically validated for use with the airGateway family of compact CPE gateways. It powers the airGateway Standard, airGateway Pro Dual‑Band, and airGateway‑LR models, enabling seamless integration into WISP subscriber installations. The injector uses 2‑pair powering on pins 4, 5 (+) and 7, 8 (–), matching the passive PoE requirements of these devices.

Housed in a durable enclosure measuring 87 x 44 x 29 mm and weighing just 92 g, the injector can be placed discreetly near the AC outlet. The data input/PoE output port is an RJ45 shielded socket, while the AC input uses an IEC‑320 C6 connector. A reset button on the unit allows local power cycling, and remote reset capability enables off‑site rebooting of the connected device. The injector operates reliably within 0 to 40° C and 35 to 95% noncondensing humidity, and it can be stored in temperatures from -30 to 70° C.
