The Ubiquiti ECS-24-PoE is a fully managed Layer 3 enterprise switch featuring 26 ports: 16 RJ45 10 GbE ports, 8 RJ45 2.5 GbE ports, and 2 SFP28 25G slots. It powers all 24 PoE+++ ports with up to 90 W per port and delivers a switching capacity of 460 Gbps.

Port Architecture and Performance
The switch divides its 26 ports into three distinct families. The 16 RJ45 10 GbE ports support speeds of 10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100M/10M, while the 8 RJ45 2.5 GbE ports cover 2.5G/1G/100M/10M speeds. The 2 SFP28 slots accept 25G/10G/1G modules, providing high-speed uplinks to the network core.
With a switching capacity of 460 Gbps, a total non-blocking throughput of 230 Gbps, and a forwarding rate of 342 Mpps, the switch is designed for high-traffic loads. An 8 MB packet buffer and a MAC address table supporting 32,000 entries complement this performance to handle traffic spikes.

PoE Power and Redundancy
All 24 RJ45 ports support PoE+++, with a maximum power per port of 15.4 W (PoE), 30 W (PoE+), 60 W (PoE++), and 90 W (PoE+++). The total PoE budget reaches 1,050 W in shared mode under 100–240 V AC with two 600 W modules, and 450 W in redundant mode with the same configuration.
The switch is equipped with two 600 W hot-swappable AC/DC power modules accepting an input voltage of 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Maximum power consumption is 150 W without PoE output and 2,400 W including PoE output. Four hot-swappable fan modules complete the hardware redundancy.

Layer 3 Features and Management
As a Layer 3 switch, the device supports inter-VLAN routing, static routing with up to 512 static IPv4 routes, as well as a local DHCP server and DHCP relay. The number of supported VLANs reaches 1,000, with a Virtual Network Override function.
Management is handled via AR Ethernet and the UniFi Network application, starting from version 9.0.114. The 1.3" LCM touchscreen provides local monitoring, while Etherlighting™ technology and LEDs on Ethernet, SFP28, and system ports facilitate visual link identification.

Security and Advanced Features
The switch includes 802.1X control, MAC- and IP-based access control lists, as well as device and port isolation. DHCP snooping and guarding, MAC address lockdown, and port restriction by MAC enhance port-level access security.
Quality of service and traffic control features include DSCP QoS, egress rate limiting, flow control, storm control, and multicast/broadcast rate limiting. Link aggregation (LACP), STP/RSTP, loop protection, port mirroring, jumbo frames, and LLDP-MED are also supported. Preconfigured Pro AV profiles cover Play, Dante, Q-SYS, NDI, SDVoE, Shure, AES67, and Crestron, along with advanced IGMP configuration featuring querier, fast leave, and router port.

Physical Design and Mounting
The SGCC steel chassis adopts a 1U full-depth rack form factor measuring 442.4 x 43.7 x 496 mm. The switch mounts in 19" four-post racks with a depth of 650 to 1,000 mm. Its weight is 9.46 kg without mounting brackets and 9.56 kg with brackets.
Heat dissipation reaches 444 BTU/hr without PoE output. ESD protection covers ±30 kV in air and ±30 kV in contact. The device is designed for reliable operation in standard indoor environments.
