Performance & Throughput

Each UAP-AC-HD leverages 802.11ac Wave 2 technology with 3x3 downlink MU-MIMO on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. The 5 GHz band achieves a maximum data rate of 1.3 Gbps using 80 MHz channel bandwidth, while the 2.4 GHz band reaches 450 Mbps with 40 MHz channels. Six spatial streams and support for HT20/40 and VHT20/40/80 channel widths ensure efficient spectrum use in dense deployments. Antenna gain is 3 dBi on each band, with maximum transmit power of 25 dBm, delivering robust signal propagation across the 140 m² coverage area.

Advanced Wireless Features

The access point includes a comprehensive suite of radio management and roaming enhancements. Band steering, 802.11k Radio Resource Management, 802.11v BSS Transition Management, and 802.11r Fast Roaming work together to optimize client connectivity and seamless handoffs. Wireless meshing enables flexible network extension without additional cabling. Advanced Radio Management continuously tunes channel selection and power levels to maintain peak performance in changing RF environments.

Deployment & Management

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting, the UAP-AC-HD integrates into any professional installation. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired uplink and bridging options. Power is supplied via PoE, and a 48V, 0.5A Gigabit PoE adapter is included. The device is managed through the UniFi Controller software, which unifies configuration, monitoring, and analytics across the entire network. A status LED and reset button offer local visibility and control.

Security & Compliance

Enterprise-grade wireless security is supported with WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA-Enterprise (WPA/WPA2, TKIP/AES). RADIUS over TLS (RadSec) and dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLANs enable secure, policy-based access. The integrated captive hotspot portal supports custom branding, voucher, payment-based, and external server authentication, along with guest network isolation. Private Pre-Shared Key (PPSK), client device isolation, and Wi-Fi speed limiting provide granular control. The access point is NDAA compliant and carries CE, FCC, IC, and Anatel certifications.
