Performance & Throughput
The switch provides a switching capacity of 800 Gbps and a total non-blocking throughput of 400 Gbps. The forwarding rate is 595 Mpps, ensuring low-latency forwarding even under heavy packet loads. An 8 MB packet buffer helps manage bursts in AV and broadcast applications. The MAC address table supports up to 32,000 entries, and up to 1,000 VLANs are supported.
As a Layer-3 device, the switch offers IPv4 static routing with up to 512 static routes and inter-VLAN routing for local networks. Additionally, 256 IPv4 access lists and 256 MAC-based access lists are available for precise traffic control.
PTPv2 Timing & Synchronization
The switch implements PTPv2 in accordance with IEEE 1588-2008, featuring hardware timestamping on all Ethernet and QSFP28 ports. It supports the clock roles Grandmaster, Boundary Clock, and Transparent Clock, with Boundary Clock operation exclusively in two-step mode. Supported profiles include IEEE 1588, SMPTE 2059-2, AES67, and AES-R16.
Transport mechanisms include Layer-2 Ethernet and UDP/IPv4, each with an end-to-end (E2E) delay mechanism. Custom profile configuration allows sync, announce, and delay request intervals from −3 to +4, an announce receipt timeout from 2 to 9, and a configurable PTP domain number. The BMCA operates with configurable Priority1 and Priority2 values.
Pro AV Features & Management
Preconfigured Pro AV profiles for Play, Dante, Q-SYS, NDI, SDVoE, Shure, AES67, and Crestron simplify integration into common audio/video environments. Advanced IGMP configuration with Querier, Fast Leave, and Router Port, along with IGMP Snooping, efficiently manages multicast traffic. Etherlighting is available on SFP+ and QSFP28 ports, enabling visual port mapping.
Management is accessible via Ethernet, an AR serial console, or the dedicated console port. A 1G RJ45 management port and an SMA port complete the connectivity. The 1.3-inch touchscreen LCM displays device status information directly on-site.
Security & Network Features
The switch supports 802.1X port authentication, DHCP Snooping & Guarding, as well as MAC-based and IP-based access lists with device isolation and network isolation. Port isolation, MAC-based port restriction, and MAC address blocking limit access to network segments. Egress rate limiting, storm control, and multicast and broadcast rate limiting regulate bandwidth usage per port.
Additional features include LACP port aggregation, STP & RSTP, QoS with DSCP, flow control, jumbo frames, LLDP-MED, voice VLAN, loop protection, port mirroring, and virtual network override. A local DHCP server and DHCP relay round out the network capabilities.
Design & Power Supply
The enclosure is made of SGCC steel and is designed for 19-inch four-post racks with a depth of 650 to 1,000 mm. Dimensions are 442.4 × 480 × 43.7 mm with a 1U form factor. The weight is 8.95 kg without mounting brackets and 9.05 kg with brackets.
