The UniFi Network Video Recorder G2 is a 1U rackmount NVR for UniFi Protect video surveillance, managing up to 60 HD, 50 2K, or 30 4K cameras and outputting up to 16 simultaneous 4K streams directly via an integrated HDMI viewport. With 8 GB of RAM, the device manages up to 60 HD, 50 2K, or 30 4K cameras when the HDMI viewport is disabled. If the viewport is active, the recorder supports 40 HD, 30 2K, or 20 4K cameras while simultaneously outputting up to 16 4K streams via HDMI. Additionally, the system manages 150+ Access Hubs and supports door access control via UniFi Access starting with version 4.2.16. Connectivity & Management Network connectivity is provided via a 10G SFP+ port and a 2.5 GbE RJ45 port, both featuring dedicated status LEDs. Setup and management are handled through the UniFi application, which requires UniFi Protect version 7.1.55 or later and also covers UniFi Connect. Management connections can be established via Ethernet or Bluetooth. Status LEDs for the system, drives, Ethernet, SFP+, and RPS provide an at-a-glance overview of each component’s operational status. Design & Power Supply The 1U rackmount chassis, made of SGCC steel, measures 442.4 × 43.7 × 325 mm and weighs 6 kg. Integrated data protection safeguards recorded video footage. The internal 100W AC/DC power supply supports a universal AC input of 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz and a maximum of 2 A. For redundant power, a USP-RPS DC input with 11.5 V DC is available. Maximum power consumption is 100 W, with up to 75 W allocated to the drives. The recorder is designed for reliable operation in typical ambient conditions and humidity levels of 5 to 95%, non-condensing.
