Architecture and Performance
The switch delivers a switching capacity of 1.6 Tbps and a total non-blocking throughput of 800 Gbps at a forwarding rate of 1.2 billion packets per second. An 8 MB packet buffer and a MAC address table supporting 32,000 entries ensure stable forwarding even under heavy traffic loads. Up to 1,000 VLANs are supported, complemented by 512 static IPv4 routes as well as 256 IPv4- and MAC-based access control lists.

Layer 2 and Layer 3 Features
At the Layer 2 level, the switch supports LACP port aggregation, STP and RSTP, IGMP snooping with advanced configuration options such as querier, fast leave, and router port, as well as multicast and broadcast rate limiting. Port isolation, port mirroring, MAC-based port restriction, MAC address blocking, and loop protection are also available. Jumbo frames, LLDP-MED, and voice VLAN round out the Layer 2 features.

At the Layer 3 level, the switch provides inter-VLAN routing and static routing for local networks, along with an integrated DHCP server and DHCP relay. Virtual network override allows targeted overrides per virtual network. Egress rate limit, flow control, and storm control enable fine-grained bandwidth and traffic management.

Security and Access Control
The switch supports 802.1X port-based access control, MAC-based ACLs with device isolation, and IP-based ACLs with network isolation. DHCP snooping and DHCP guarding protect against rogue DHCP servers. ESD protection ratings are ±12 kV in air and ±8 kV for contact discharge. The device is NDAA-compliant and designed to meet industry standards.

Enclosure, Mounting, and Power Supply
The switch is housed in a 1U rackmount unit made of SGCC steel and measures 442.4 × 43.7 × 480 mm. It can be installed in 19-inch four-post racks with post depths of 600 to 1,066 mm. The weight is 7.1 kg without mounting brackets and 7.2 kg with mounting brackets. A 1.3-inch touchscreen LCM display shows operational status information directly on the device, and Etherlighting™ technology visualizes port status on the SFP28 modules.

The internal AC/DC power supply is rated for 200 W and supports an input range of 100–240V AC at 50/60 Hz. DC power backup via RPS provides redundancy, and a dedicated RPS LED indicates the status of the backup power supply. Maximum heat dissipation is 682 BTU per hour. The switch is designed for reliable operation in typical ambient conditions.

Pro AV and Management
Preconfigured Pro AV profiles for Dante, NDI, SDVoE, Q-SYS, Shure, AES67, and Crestron simplify deployment in professional audio-video environments. Management is handled via Ethernet, and integration with the UniFi platform enables centralized control alongside other UniFi hardware components.
