Performance & Throughput
The switch provides a switching capacity of 460 Gbps and a total non-blocking throughput of 230 Gbps, with a forwarding rate of 342 Mpps. An 8 MB packet buffer and a MAC address table supporting 32,000 entries equip the platform for sustained high-volume traffic in demanding network environments. Up to 1,000 VLANs are supported, alongside 512 IPv4 static routes and 256 IPv4 and MAC access lists for policy-based forwarding control.

Power over Ethernet & Power Architecture
Twenty-four of the RJ45 ports deliver Power over Ethernet up to PoE+++ (90W per port), covering all 16x 10GbE and 8x 2.5GbE ports. The total PoE availability depends on the installed power modules and input voltage: with two 600W modules at 100–240V AC in shared mode, the budget is 1,050W, while redundant mode at the same input yields 450W. Upgrading to two 1,200W modules raises the shared-mode budget to 2,250W at 200–240V AC or 1,850W at 100–120V AC, with corresponding redundant-mode figures of 1,050W and 850W respectively. Per-port PoE wattage scales across standards, supporting 15.4W (PoE), 30W (PoE+), 60W (PoE++), and 90W (PoE+++). The switch draws a maximum of 150W excluding PoE output and 2,400W including PoE output, powered through two universal 100–240V AC inputs at 50/60 Hz.

Layer 3 Features & Management
As a full-managed Layer 3 switch, the platform supports inter-VLAN routing and static routing for local networks, along with a local DHCP server and DHCP relay functionality. Virtual network override extends policy flexibility across the UniFi environment. Management is provided through an Ethernet out-of-band management port and a serial console, with the switch requiring UniFi Network version 10.6.101 or later. LACP port aggregation, STP and RSTP, QoS (DSCP), jumbo frames, LLDP-MED, and voice VLAN are all supported for traffic engineering and endpoint integration.

Security & Access Control
The switch implements 802.1X port-based access control alongside MAC-based ACLs and device isolation, IP-based ACLs with network isolation, and MAC-based port restriction. DHCP snooping and guarding protect against rogue server injection, while port isolation, port mirroring, MAC address blocking, and loop protection further harden the access layer. Egress rate limiting, flow control, storm control, and multicast and broadcast rate limiting provide granular traffic regulation under adverse conditions.

Pro AV & Multicast
Built-in Pro AV profiles cover Play, Dante, Q-SYS, NDI, SDVoE, Shure, AES67, and Crestron deployments, simplifying configuration for professional audio and video over IP. Advanced IGMP configuration includes querier, fast leave, and router port functionality, complemented by IGMP snooping for efficient multicast traffic distribution. These capabilities make the switch suitable for converged enterprise and media networks where low-latency AV streams coexist with standard data traffic.

Design, Redundancy & Environmental
The enclosure is constructed from SGCC steel and mounts in a 1U full-depth rack format, with dimensions of 442.4 x 44 x 496 mm. It fits four-post racks with post depths ranging from 650 to 1,000 mm. Redundancy is provided through switch stacking, two hot-swappable power supplies, and four hot-swappable fan modules. ESD protection is rated at ±12kV for both air and contact discharge. The 1.3" LCM touchscreen offers local status visibility, while Etherlighting and LED indicators cover Ethernet, SFP28, and system status. The switch is designed for reliable operation in a range of environmental conditions, with heat dissipation of 512 BTU/hr excluding PoE output. It is NDAA compliant.
