Performance & Throughput

The U6-MESH leverages a 6-stream WiFi 6 radio design, with 4x4 MIMO on 5 GHz and 2x2 MIMO on 2.4 GHz, both supporting downlink and uplink MU-MIMO. It achieves a maximum data rate of 4.8 Gbps on 5 GHz using 160 MHz channels and 573.5 Mbps on 2.4 GHz with 40 MHz channels. The access point covers up to 140 m² (1,500 ft²) and reliably serves 250+ concurrent clients, making it ideal for dense device environments. Channel bandwidths of 20, 40, 80, and 160 MHz are supported across both bands, ensuring flexible spectrum utilization.

Deployment & Management

The U6-MESH is designed for flexible installation with included wall and pole mounts. Power is supplied via PoE, and a PoE adapter is included in the box, supporting a voltage range of 44–57V DC. The access point is managed entirely through the UniFi Network application (version 6.0.45 or later), offering centralized control, real-time analytics, and features such as WiFi scheduling, client isolation, and speed limiting. Dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLANs and Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0) enable secure, scalable guest access.

Rugged Design

Built to operate reliably in harsh environments, the U6-MESH features an IPX5-rated enclosure that resists water jets and dust ingress. The housing combines polycarbonate and aluminum for durability, while the system LED provides white/blue status indication. It operates in temperatures from -30 to 60° C (-22 to 140° F) and humidity from 5 to 95% noncondensing, ensuring year-round outdoor readiness.
