Architecture and Performance

The switch delivers a switching capacity of 2.16 Tbps with a maximum forwarding rate of 1607.04 Mpps. The MAC address table supports up to 288K entries, and the packet buffer is 32 MB. Jumbo frames up to 9436 bytes are supported. With up to 256 IP interfaces and static routes for IPv4 (1K) and IPv6 (512), the device is suitable for medium to large routing domains.

Stacking and High Availability

Physical stacking supports up to twelve switches with a bidirectional bandwidth of up to 1200 Gbps. Virtual stacking is supported for up to 32 devices. The power supply features a 1+1 redundant design with an input range of 100 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Maximum power consumption is 320.8 W, with 120.6 W in standby. Five fans provide cooling, and the maximum heat dissipation is 1083 BTU/hr. The MTBF is rated at 94,262 hours.

Layer 2 Features

The switch supports Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1D, 802.1w, and 802.1s) as well as Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS). Link aggregation is compliant with 802.1AX. Up to 4K static VLAN groups are available; supported VLAN types include GVRP, MAC-based, port-based, and protocol-based VLANs. Advanced VLAN features include Double VLAN (Q-in-Q), ISM VLAN, and Super VLAN.

Layer 3 Routing and Multicast

The IPv4 routing table supports up to 32K entries, while the IPv6 routing table supports up to 16K. The IPv4 forwarding table accommodates up to 144K entries, and the IPv6 forwarding table up to 72K. In addition to static routing, RIP v1/v2, RIPng, OSPF, OSPFv3, and BGP are supported. IPv6 tunneling is available. For multicast, PIM-SM and DVMRP v3 are supported. MPLS and VPLS are also included.

Quality of Service and Access Control

Each port features eight QoS queues, and Class of Service based on packet content is supported. Bandwidth control operates with a minimum granularity of 8 Kbps. Access Control Lists are available as egress, ingress, and VLAN-based ACLs, with support for content-based and time-based ACLs.

Security and Authentication

Encryption protocols include SSH and SSL (v1/v2/v3). IP-MAC-Port Binding (IMPB) and Smart Binding are available, along with protection against ARP spoofing and BPDU attacks. Access control is managed via 802.1X, with support for external user databases via POP3 and LDAP. Microsoft NAP is integrated, and authentication is handled through RADIUS or TACACS+.

Management and Monitoring

A RJ-45 console port enables out-of-band management, while a 10/100/1000 BASE-T RJ-45 port supports out-of-band remote management. A USB 2.0 Type-A port is also included. SNMP is supported in versions v1, v2c, and v3, complemented by RMON v1/v2 and sFlow. LLDP and LLDP-MED are available, as well as 802.3ah, 802.1ag, and ITU-T Y.1731 for OAM functions.

Form Factor and Environmental Conditions

The switch is designed for 19-inch rack mounting in a 1U form factor, with dimensions of 441.0 × 487.44 × 43.5 mm and a weight of 9.80 kg. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 45 °C, while storage temperature ranges from –40 to 70 °C. Relative humidity for both operation and storage is 0 to 95% RH. The sound pressure level ranges from 65.3 dB(A) to 79.4 dB(A).

Certifications

The device holds certifications including CB, cUL, LVD, FCC, CE, C-Tick, IC, and VCCI. These compliance marks confirm adherence to respective national and regional safety and EMC requirements.
