Ports & Transmission Rate

The switch features sixteen multi-gigabit Ethernet ports at 2.5Gbps, all PoE-enabled to supply both data and power to connected devices. Two additional SFP+ ports provide 10G uplinks for external connectivity. All 2.5G Ethernet ports include 6kV surge protection to safeguard the switch and connected devices from electrical surges.

Power over Ethernet

The DMS-1250-18P supports the PoE standards IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt, delivering a total budget of up to 370W. This enables power-hungry devices to be powered directly via Ethernet cable. The PoE functionality ensures uninterrupted power supply to connected devices.

Layer 2+ Features

The switch offers comprehensive Layer 2+ features that go beyond basic switching. These include static routing for IPv4/IPv6, DHCP relay, DiffServ QoS for traffic prioritization, port mirroring, and Spanning Tree Protocol variants STP, MSTP, and RSTP. Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) bundles links for increased bandwidth and redundancy. IGMP and MLD snooping optimize multicast traffic distribution across the network.

Management & Administration

Centralized management is provided through D-Link Nuclias Connect (DNC), which enables the discovery and configuration of multiple D-Link devices. D-View 8 serves as a comprehensive network management system for seamless switch integration. SNMP offers additional capabilities for centralized asset management, remote configuration, and logging.
