Performance & Throughput

The DWR-960 leverages LTE Category 7 to achieve mobile download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 100 Mbps. Carrier Aggregation is supported for combinations 1+3, 1+7, 1+8, 1+20, 3+8, 3+20, 3+7, 3+38, 7+20, 3+3, 7+7, and 38+38, enabling multiple frequency bands to be combined. In the 3G range, DC-HSPA provides up to 42 Mbps for downloads and up to 5.72 Mbps for uploads. Wi-Fi data rates in dual-mode with 802.11ac and 802.11n reach up to 1200 Mbps, with 802.11ac clients achieving up to 866 Mbps and 802.11n clients up to 300 Mbps.

Connectivity & Frequency Bands

The router supports LTE-FDD bands on 1, 3, 7, 8, and 20 (2100, 1800, 2600, 900, and 800 MHz) as well as LTE-TDD band 38 (2600 MHz). UMTS is available on bands 1 and 8 (2100 and 900 MHz), while GSM/GPRS operates on four bands (850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz). The SIM card is inserted via a standard Mini-SIM/UICC slot. Two detachable omnidirectional 3G/4G antennas and built-in omnidirectional antennas ensure reliable wireless reception.

Ethernet Interfaces & WAN Configuration

The DWR-960 features two 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports. One port functions as a Gigabit WAN/LAN port, while the second is a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. Via the router’s web interface, LAN 1 can be configured as a WAN port, allowing the router to use a fixed-line internet connection as an alternative to mobile connectivity. This combination of mobile and fixed-line connections ensures a fail-safe internet connection.

Security & Firewall

The DWR-960 enhances network security with Network Address Translation, Stateful Packet Inspection, URL blocking, and MAC filtering. Wireless encryption supports 64/128-bit WEP as well as WPA and WPA2 under the Wi-Fi Protected Access standard. The Wi-Fi standards IEEE 802.11n and 802.11ac operate simultaneously in dual-band mode on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

Status Indicators & Operating Conditions

LED indicators display the status of power, 5 GHz, internet, 2.4 GHz, LAN, and signal strength. The router is designed for operation in ambient temperatures of 0 to 40 °C and humidity levels of 10% to 90% (non-condensing). Storage temperature ranges from -10 to 70 °C at humidity levels of 0% to 95% (non-condensing). The device is CE-certified and complies with the RoHS directive.
