Cloud Management & Diagnostics
The switch is administered as a cloud-managed device through the Nuclias Cloud platform, enabling centralized configuration and monitoring regardless of physical location. A captive portal is supported, simplifying controlled network access. The built-in cable diagnostics feature quickly detects faults and assesses cable quality, streamlining network maintenance and troubleshooting.
Layer 2 Features & VLAN
The device supports port-based VLANs with up to 256 static VLAN groups, as well as Voice VLAN for prioritizing voice traffic. Spanning Tree Protocol is available with 802.1D STP and 802.1w RSTP to prevent network loops in redundant topologies. Link aggregation (802.3ad) and flow control (802.3x) enhance Layer 2 functionality. Jumbo frames are also supported, enabling the transmission of larger data packets.
Security & Access Control
Port-based access control compliant with 802.1X is supported, protecting the network from unauthorized access. Ingress-type Access Control Lists allow filtering of incoming traffic at the ports. SSL encryption is available in versions v1, v2, and v3.
Form Factor & Energy Efficiency
The switch is designed for rack mounting and integrates seamlessly into standard 19-inch server cabinets. Energy-Efficient Ethernet (802.3az) is supported, reducing power consumption on idle ports. The MAC address table supports up to 8K addresses.
