D-ECS (D-Link Edge Cloud Service) is D-Link's central, AWS-hosted cloud management platform for 4G/5G M2M devices. It brings together status monitoring, traffic analysis, device management and security features for modems, PoE modems, routers, IIoT gateways and transit gateways in a single dashboard. This DECS-Y1-LIC license activates remote management for exactly one device for a 12-month term — D-Link also offers a free 3-month trial (DECS-T0-LIC) or a 3-year license (DECS-Y3-LIC) as alternatives.

Licensing Model

Each license is bound to exactly one device via activation binding (1 license = 1 device). SP and organization admins import purchased license keys, assign them hierarchically to sub-organizations, and track expiration dates and remaining terms. The platform is built for multi-tenant use, making it equally suitable for system integrators managing devices for several customers at once.

According to D-Link's license overview, anyone wanting to trial the feature set first can start with the free 3-month DECS-T0-LIC trial and then move to the 1-year or 3-year license.
