Performance and Connectivity

The switch provides eight multi-gigabit Ethernet ports supporting speeds of 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, and 2.5 Gbps. Two additional 10G SFP+ ports enable high-speed fiber uplink connections. The switching capacity is 80 Gbps with a forwarding rate of 59.53 Mpps. The MAC address table supports 16K entries, supplemented by 256 static MAC addresses. A 12 Mbit packet buffer and store-and-forward transmission method ensure reliable data traffic.

Power over Ethernet

All eight RJ45 ports are PoE-enabled and support the IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards. Ports 1 and 2 are designed as 802.3bt ports, while ports 3 through 8 are 802.3at ports. The total PoE budget is 240 W. The switch’s maximum power consumption is 287.58 W with active PoE and 21.221 W without PoE load.

Management and Layer 2 Features

As a smart managed switch, the device offers Layer 2 and Layer 2+ functionality. It supports up to 4K static VLAN groups with port-based VLAN assignment, as well as advanced VLAN types such as Asymmetric VLAN, Auto Surveillance VLAN, and Auto Voice VLAN. Spanning Tree Protocol is available in variants 802.1D STP, 802.1s MSTP, and 802.1w RSTP. Link Aggregation is supported per 802.3ad. Eight IP interfaces and static routes for IPv4 (128) and IPv6 (64) extend routing capabilities. QoS provides eight queues per port with a minimum bandwidth control granularity of 16 Kbps. Jumbo frames and cable diagnostics are also supported.

Security and Access Control

The switch supports 802.1X access control and SSH encryption for management. IP-MAC-Port Binding (IMPB) and Smart Binding are available, as is protection against ARP spoofing. Ingress ACLs enable filtering of incoming traffic. SNMP is supported in versions v1, v2c, and v3, complemented by RMON v1. LLDP and LLDP-MED facilitate automatic neighbor discovery, while ICMPv6 supports IPv6 network functions.

Design and Power Supply

The device features a metal housing and is designed for 19-inch rack mounting. Two internal fans provide cooling. Dimensions are 330 x 200 x 44 mm, with a weight of 2.377 kg. The power supply operates on 100 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. D-Link Green and 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet reduce power consumption. Surge protection up to 6 kV on all 2.5-gigabit Ethernet ports complies with the IEEE 61000-4-5 standard.

The switch is certified to CB, UL, BSMI, EMC Class A, VCCI Class A, FCC Class A, IC, and RCM standards. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 40 °C, while storage temperature ranges from -20 to 70 °C. Relative humidity is 0 to 95% for both operation and storage.
