Management and Features

As a Layer 2+ smart-managed switch, the device offers comprehensive VLAN functionality with support for up to 4,000 VLAN groups, port-based VLANs, and GVRP. Advanced VLAN types include asymmetric VLAN, auto surveillance VLAN, and auto voice VLAN. The Quality of Service configuration provides eight prioritization queues per port and supports class of service based on packet content. Bandwidth control operates with a minimum granularity of 64 Kbit/s. IGMP snooping manages up to 384 IGMP groups, and 128 static multicast addresses are supported. Static routing is available for IPv4 and IPv6 with up to 64 entries each, and eight IP interfaces can be configured. LLDP and LLDP-MED enable automatic network discovery, and SNMP is supported in versions v1, v2c, and v3. RMON v1/v2 and ICMPv6 are also available. The cable diagnostics feature assists administrators with troubleshooting.

Security and Compliance

The switch supports 802.1X access control as well as RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication. Encryption is provided via SSH and SSL in versions v1, v2, and v3. IP-MAC-port binding (IMPB) with smart binding protects against address spoofing, and ARP spoofing protection is supported. Access control lists allow up to 256 rules, are VLAN-based, and can be content-aware. The device holds certifications including CE, FCC, C-Tick, VCCI, BSMI, CCC, cUL, and CB.

Design and Power

The metal housing is designed for 1U rack mounting and measures 440 x 210 x 44 mm, weighing 2.73 kg. Power is supplied via 100 to 240 V AC, with a maximum power consumption of 43.81 W and 25.22 W in standby mode. D-Link Green and IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet are supported. The switch operates in ambient temperatures from -5 to 50 °C and at relative humidity levels of 0 to 95% (non-condensing).
