  • 56 Gbps switching capacity with 41.7 Mpps forwarding rate and a 16K-entry MAC address table

Performance & Throughput

The switch provides a switching capacity of 56 Gbps and a maximum forwarding rate of 41.7 Mpps using store-and-forward transmission. Its MAC address table accommodates 16K entries with support for 256 static MAC addresses, and the packet buffer memory of 4.1 Mbits handles traffic bursts across all ports. Auto MDI/MDIX adjustment on every twisted-pair port eliminates the need for crossover cables during installation. The switch supports full and half-duplex operation at 10/100 Mbps and full-duplex at 1000 Mbps, with IEEE 802.3x Flow Control for reliable data transfers when servers connect directly.

PoE & Power

Twenty-four 10/100/1000BASE-T ports deliver Power over Ethernet compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, with a total PoE budget of 370 W and up to 30 W per port. The internal universal power supply accepts 100 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Maximum power consumption reaches 446.1 W at 100 V or 424.8 W at 240 V with PoE enabled, dropping to 29.8 W or 29.0 W respectively with PoE disabled. Standby consumption is 18.5 W at 100 V and 17.1 W at 240 V. Heat dissipation is 1521.99 BTU/hr at 100 V and 1449.49 BTU/hr at 240 V.

VLAN & Multicast Features

The switch supports 802.1Q VLAN with up to 256 static VLAN groups and configurable VIDs from 1 to 4094. Additional VLAN capabilities include Asymmetric VLAN, Auto Voice VLAN with up to 10 user-defined OUI and 8 default OUI, and Auto Surveillance VLAN. Layer 2+ Static Routing allows administrators to divide the network into segments for more efficient traffic flow. IGMP Snooping supports v1/v2 with v3 awareness, handling 256 IGMP groups and at least 64 static multicast addresses, with per-VLAN configuration and IGMP Snooping Querier support.

Management Modes

The switch offers two management interface modes: standard mode and surveillance mode. Surveillance mode simplifies configuration for IP surveillance environments and supports compatible video traffic workflows. Time-based PoE allows PoE ports to be turned on or off by port or system through schedule, helping administrators manage connected PoE devices based on operational timing and network needs.

Green Technology

D-Link Green V3.0 Technology reduces power consumption through link status detection, port shut-off, system hibernation, and cable length detection. IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet further lowers power use during lower-traffic periods. Time-based PoE scheduling allows PoE ports to be disabled during scheduled downtime windows, contributing to overall energy savings across the deployment.

Design & Environmental

The switch measures 440 x 250 x 44 mm and weighs 8.7 lbs, supporting desktop placement or 19-inch rack mounting with included brackets. Two internal fans provide cooling, producing 51.7 dB(A) at high speed and 44.9 dB(A) at low speed. Operating temperature ranges from -5 to 50°C with 0 to 95% relative humidity, and storage temperature spans -20 to 70°C. The MTBF is rated at 277,967 hours. Flash memory is 32 MB and CPU memory is DDR3 128 MB.

Compliance & Certifications

The switch carries CE Class A, VCCI Class A, FCC Class A, BSMI, CB, UL, and LVD certifications. Network cabling support covers UTP Cat. 5 and Cat. 5e with a maximum distance of 100 m. Port standards include IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3z, 802.3az, and 802.3x alongside the 802.3af/at PoE compliance on PoE ports.
