Performance & Connectivity

The switch provides 24 x 10/100/1000Base-T ports for Gigabit access, along with two 10GBase-T and two 10G SFP+ ports, which can be used as uplinks or for stacking connections. With a switching capacity of 128 Gbps and a maximum forwarding rate of 95.24 Mpps, the device processes data traffic using the store-and-forward method. Jumbo frames up to 12,288 bytes are supported, and the MAC address table accommodates up to 16,384 entries per device, including up to 512 static entries. Automatic or configurable MDI/MDIX detection simplifies cabling on the copper ports.

Stacking Configuration

Physical stacking allows the connection of up to 8 switches with a stacking bandwidth of 80 Gbps via the 10GBase-T and/or SFP+ ports. Virtual stacking with D-Link Single IP Management (SIM) enables the management of up to 32 units as a single logical device. This flexibility supports the expansion of networks with high port density while maintaining a centralized management layer.

Layer 2 and Layer 3 Features

Advanced Layer 3 features include OSPF, RIP/RIPng, IGMP v1/v2/v3, MLD v1/v2, and PIM-SM/DM/SSM for dynamic routing and multicast management. At Layer 2, the switch supports up to 4K VLAN groups with VIDs from 1 to 4094, link aggregation with a maximum of 32 groups of 8 ports each, and Spanning Tree protocols compliant with 802.1D, 802.1w, and 802.1s, including BPDU filtering, Root Guard, and Loop Guard. IGMP snooping handles up to 512 groups with 128 static entries, while MLD snooping supports up to 256 groups with 64 static entries. Hardware routing supports 1,024 entries and up to 4,096 hardware Layer 3 forwarding entries, shared between IPv4 and IPv6.

Reliability & Power Supply

The integrated power supply operates with an input voltage of 100–240 VAC, with a maximum power consumption of 30.4 W. A redundant power supply can be connected via the external DPS-520 power unit. The switch achieves an MTBF of 468,252 hours and is designed for operation in ambient temperatures from -5 to 50 °C and relative humidity of 10–95%. An RJ-45 console port enables out-of-band CLI management. The dimensions are 441 × 207.4 × 44 mm with a weight of 2.33 kg, fitting 19-inch racks with a 1U height.
