Performance & Throughput

The switch achieves a switching capacity of 200 Gbps with a forwarding rate of 148.81 Mpps. The MAC address table supports 32K entries, supplemented by 256 static MAC addresses. With a 16 Mbit packet buffer and store-and-forward transmission, the device reliably handles data traffic even during peak loads.

Jumbo frames are supported, as is Auto MDI/MDIX for automatic cable detection. Port standards include IEEE 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3bz, 802.3an, 802.3ae, and 802.3z. For 100/1G/2.5G/5GBASE-T, Category 5e UTP cables are sufficient, while 10GBASE-T requires Category 6A cables, each up to a maximum of 100 m.

PoE & Power Supply

All 24 multi-gigabit ports support PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt, delivering up to 90 W per port. The total PoE power budget is 475 W. Without PoE load, maximum power consumption is 49.909 W, rising to 592.19 W with PoE enabled. The switch is powered by 100 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz.

Management & Security

As a smart managed Layer 2 and Layer 2+ switch, the device supports static routing for IPv4 with up to 128 entries and for IPv6 with up to 64 entries. It provides 8 IP interfaces. The VLAN concept includes port-based VLANs with up to 4K static groups, as well as asymmetric VLAN, auto surveillance VLAN, and auto voice VLAN.

Security features include ingress ACLs, SSH encryption, IP-MAC-port binding (Smart Binding), ARP spoofing protection, and 802.1X access control. Network management is supported via SNMP v1/v2c/v3, RMON v1, LLDP, and LLDP-MED. ICMPv6 is also available.

Spanning Tree Protocol is supported in the variants 802.1D STP, 802.1s MSTP, and 802.1w RSTP. Link aggregation in accordance with IEEE 802.3ad enables connection bundling. Each port offers 8 QoS queues, with bandwidth control operating at a minimum granularity of 16 Kbps.

Design & Environmental Conditions

The switch features a metal housing with dimensions of 440 x 250 x 44 mm and weighs 4.179 kg. It is designed for rack mounting. Four internal fans provide cooling. D-Link Green and IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet contribute to energy efficiency.

The operating temperature ranges from -5 to 50 °C, while storage temperature spans -20 to 70 °C. Relative humidity during operation and storage is 0 to 95%. The switch holds certifications including CB, UL, BSMI, EMC Class A, VCCI Class A, FCC Class A, IC, and RCM. Cable diagnostics are also supported.
