Performance and throughput

The access point supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wave 2 standard and operates in dual-band mode with selectable frequencies. On the 5 GHz band, it achieves speeds of up to 1,733 Mbit/s, and on the 2.4 GHz band, up to 800 Mbit/s, delivering a combined throughput of up to 2,533 Mbit/s. The 4x4 MU-MIMO technology with four spatial streams enables simultaneous support for multiple clients. Integrated omnidirectional antennas, with a gain of 3 dBi on the 2.4 GHz band and 4 dBi on the 5 GHz band, ensure strong signal coverage. The maximum transmit power is 26 dBm on both frequency bands.

Management and features

Management is handled via the Nuclias Cloud Networking Solution, which identifies the access point as cloud-managed. The built-in DHCP server assigns IP addresses on the local network, and a RADIUS client is also supported. Controller-managed features include automatic channel selection, automatic radio frequency management, access point load balancing, and a captive portal. Automatic channel selection, a Wi-Fi scheduler, and access point traffic load balancing are also supported. Link aggregation is available, and intelligent load balancing optimises traffic distribution without requiring specialised hardware or frequency expertise. IPv6 is supported, and direct management is possible via the serial console port with an RJ-45 connector.

Security and compliance

The access point supports WPA3 Personal/Enterprise, as well as WPA2 Personal/Enterprise and WPA Personal/Enterprise. Additional security features include MAC address filtering, SSID isolation, guest isolation, station isolation, and a captive portal. SSID broadcast disablement is supported, along with rogue access point detection and 802.1X authentication. Encryption negotiation is also supported. It holds CE Class B, FCC Class B, UL, and IC Class B certifications.

Design and power

This access point is designed for indoor use and features a white plastic housing. Its dimensions are 224.5 x 223.85 x 50 mm, with a weight of 810 g without the mounting bracket. Mounting options include ceiling, wall, or horizontal desktop installation. Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet compliant with IEEE 802.3at, with a power consumption of 21.65 W, or via a 100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz power supply, with a consumption of 19.2 W. The mean time between failures (MTBF) is 454,000 hours.
