Comprehensive WAN and Load Balancing Features

This service contract ensures the MAX BR1 ENT can fully leverage its advanced WAN capabilities, including WAN link health checks, bandwidth monitoring, and support for dynamic DNS services. Sophisticated load-balancing algorithms—Weighted Balance, Priority, Overflow, Persistence, Least Used, Lowest Latency, Enforced, and Fastest Response Time—remain available throughout the contract term, delivering optimal traffic distribution across multiple connections.

Security and VPN Connectivity

With this service contract, all of the router’s built-in security mechanisms remain active. The stateful firewall, DoS prevention, and web blocking reliably protect the network. At the same time, the full suite of VPN solutions is available: SpeedFusion VPN for site-to-site connections with 256-bit AES encryption and pre-shared key authentication, dynamic routing, X.509 certificate support, as well as IPsec (network-to-network) and remote user access via PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN.

Management, QoS, and Location Services

Under this contract, the MAX BR1 ENT provides advanced Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms, such as individual bandwidth limits, application prioritization (SIP, HTTPS, VPN), and custom application QoS. The integrated GPS functionality enables device location mapping, location tracking, and fleet management via InControl 2. Additionally, the router supports DHCP server, VLAN on LAN, NAT (many-to-one, one-to-one, NAT pool), port forwarding, SIP ALG, and UPnP.

Edge Computing and AP Controller

The service contract also covers the router’s edge computing capabilities. On hardware revision 3 and above, applications and Docker containers can run directly on the device. Furthermore, the MAX BR1 ENT functions as an AP controller for the Peplink AP series, featuring automatic AP discovery, firmware management, profile configuration, and Wi-Fi usage statistics.
