Advanced WAN and LAN Capabilities

The license enables robust WAN connectivity with support for PPPoE, Static IP, and DHCP, complemented by WAN Link Health Check and Bandwidth Allowance Monitor. Dynamic DNS services keep remote access consistent, while the ability to convert a WAN port into a LAN port adds deployment flexibility. On the LAN side, the DHCP server provides extended DHCP options, reservation, and DNS proxy for local clients, along with full VLAN support for network segmentation.

Intelligent Load Balancing and Quality of Service

Multiple outbound policy algorithms ensure traffic is routed optimally across available links. Choose from Weighted Balance, Priority, Overflow, Persistence, Least Used, Lowest Latency, Enforced, and Fastest Response Time to match business requirements. Advanced QoS enforces individual bandwidth limits and prioritizes critical applications such as SIP, HTTPS, and VPN traffic, with custom application QoS for fine-grained control.

Comprehensive Security and VPN

A stateful firewall with DoS prevention and web blocking safeguards the network perimeter. The complete VPN solution includes SpeedFusion VPN for site-to-site bonding, IPsec for network-to-network tunnels, and remote user access via PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN. All VPN traffic is protected with 256-bit AES encryption, pre-shared key authentication, dynamic routing, and X.509 certificate support.

Edge Computing and Centralized Management

EssentialCare+ unlocks edge computing capabilities, allowing applications and Docker containers to run directly on the router (HW3+). The integrated GPS receiver provides real-time device location, mapping, and location tracking data when paired with InControl 2, enabling fleet management and asset visibility. The built-in AP controller auto-discovers Peplink AP Series access points, manages firmware, and delivers Wi-Fi usage statistics for a unified wireless experience.
