SpeedFusion VPN & WAN Resilience

The BR1 Mini leverages Peplink’s SpeedFusion technology to bond multiple WAN links, smooth out jitter, and fail over in milliseconds. With the feature pack, the router supports one SpeedFusion peer for Hot Failover and WAN Smoothing, and up to two peers for Bandwidth Bonding. Combined with 256-bit AES encryption and pre-shared key authentication, it delivers a secure, always-on tunnel for critical data. The WAN interface supports PPPoE, Static IP, and DHCP, with intelligent load balancing algorithms including weighted balance, priority, overflow, persistence, least used, lowest latency, enforced, and fastest response time.

Engineered for telemetry and IoT, the BR1 Mini operates in extreme temperatures from -40°F to 149°F and withstands 15% to 95% non-condensing humidity. Its compact dimensions (5.0 x 4.2 x 1.4 inches) and lightweight design (0.95 pounds) simplify installation in tight spaces. The router accepts 10V–30V DC power via a 4-pin power port with GPIO, consuming just 10W nominal and 16W maximum. Redundant SIM slots with support for Nano-SIM, Peplink eSIM, and BYO eSIM (two profiles) ensure connectivity continuity across carriers.

Management & Security

Administrators can manage the BR1 Mini through a web administrative interface, command line interface, or InControl cloud management platform. Monitoring features include active client and session lists, bandwidth usage statistics, syslog, and SNMP v1, v2c, and v3. Security is enforced by a stateful firewall, DoS prevention, web blocking, and advanced QoS with application prioritization for SIP, HTTPS, VPN, and custom applications. Individual bandwidth limits and per-service load distribution maintain performance across 1–60 recommended users.
