Ultra-wideband performance
The Mobility 82G combines 8 cellular elements, 2 Wi-Fi elements, and a GPS receiver in a single 8x8 MIMO omnidirectional antenna. The 8 cellular channels cover the 617 to 6000 MHz range with peak gains of 5.4 dBi at 617–960 MHz, 7.5 dBi at 1400–2700 MHz, 8.1 dBi at 3400–4200 MHz, and 8.7 dBi at 5000–6000 MHz. Cellular VSWR remains below 2.0 across 95% of the band, with a maximum input power of 10 W and 50 Ω impedance.
The 2 Wi-Fi elements operate at 2400–2500 MHz with 6.0 dBi gain and at 5000–6000 MHz with 7.4 dBi gain, also with VSWR below 2.0 and a maximum power of 10 W. The GPS receiver covers 1575–1602 MHz with gains of 1.2 dBiC at 1575 MHz and 2.0 dBiC at 1602 MHz, and includes an LNA with 29 ± 3 dB gain at 3.3 V and a current draw of 6 ± 2 mA.
Rugged design and installation
The housing is IP67-rated and low-profile, with a diameter of 386 mm and dimensions of 62.5 mm in height by 427.4 mm in length. The cable is CFD-200 type with a 5.0 mm diameter and a semi-matte PVC UV-resistant jacket, with a length of 2 m. Cable loss is 0.33 dB/m at 900 MHz, 0.49 dB/m at 2000 MHz, 0.55 dB/m at 2500 MHz, and 0.87 dB/m at 5800 MHz.
The antenna is installed via surface or panel mounting and includes options for long and short threaded mounts, as well as a 3M double-sided adhesive pad. Connectors are QMA male for cellular and GPS, and RP-SMA male for Wi-Fi.
Environmental resistance and compliance
The Mobility 82G operates between -40°C and 80°C, with the same range for storage, and withstands winds up to 137 mph (220 km/h). The housing meets UL 94 HB flammability standards, and the cable complies with UL 758 (VW-1), with UV resistance certified under UL 746C (F1) for prolonged exposure and salt fog resistance per MIL-STD 810F.
The product complies with RoHS, REACH, and WEEE regulations and is designed for public safety, mission-critical connectivity, mobile healthcare, and transportation applications.
