5G Connectivity and Mobile Performance
The RUTM30 uses the 5G Sub-6GHz spectrum with 4x4 MIMO and achieves up to 3.4 Gbit/s downlink (SA/NSA). In 4G fallback mode, it delivers Cat 19 with 1.6 Gbit/s DL and Cat 18 with 200 Mbit/s UL, while 3G provides 42 Mbit/s DL as the final redundancy layer. Support for 3GPP Release 16 ensures the latest mobile standards. The device covers a wide frequency spectrum, including 5G NR bands n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n75, n76, n77, n78, as well as numerous 4G LTE FDD and TDD bands for global deployment.
Failover and Intelligent SIM Management
For maximum availability, the RUTM30 combines two physical 2FF SIM slots with a consumer eSIM that stores up to seven profiles. The automatic SIM switch activates on weak signal, reaching data or SMS limits, roaming, network rejection, or connection loss. The SIM idle protection function prevents deactivation of unused SIM cards by periodically establishing connections. Additionally, Multiple PDN allows parallel access to different data networks, and SIM PIN management enables centralized PIN code administration.
- SMS Gateway: Email-to-SMS, SMS-to-HTTP, scheduled SMS, auto-reply, and SMPP
- USSD Support: Sending and receiving USSD messages
- Carrier Block/Allow List: Restriction by country or carrier
Industrial Design and Flexible Interfaces
The compact aluminum housing (100 x 30 x 93.7 mm, 319 g) is IP30-rated and designed for operation in temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C. Power is supplied via a 4-pin industrial connector with an input voltage range of 9–50 VDC, including reverse polarity and overvoltage protection. Passive PoE (Mode B, 9–50 VDC) allows power delivery through the LAN port. Two configurable digital I/Os (0–6 V Low, 8–50 V High; open-collector output max. 30 V, 300 mA) enable connection to sensors and actuators. Mounting options include DIN rail, wall mounting, and flat surfaces (accessories required).
The two Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbit/s) support Auto MDI/MDIX and IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet. Four SMA antenna connectors for mobile and two RP-SMA for Wi-Fi ensure optimal signal quality.
Security, VPN, and Central Management
The RUTM30 offers comprehensive security with TPM 2.0, DDoS protection, port scan prevention, VLAN segmentation, and flexible access control for SSH, WebUI, CLI, and Telnet. The firewall supports port forwarding, traffic rules, and custom rules. For encrypted site-to-site networking, numerous VPN protocols are available: OpenVPN (27 encryption methods), IPsec (IKEv1/v2, 14 ciphers), WireGuard, ZeroTier, Tailscale, DMVPN, SSTP, Stunnel, GRE, L2TPv3, and more.
Remote management is available via Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS), TR-069, SNMP, MQTT, JSON-RPC, or Web API. IoT platforms such as Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, ThingWorx, and Cumulocity are natively supported. Modbus TCP, DNP3, OPC UA, and DLMS/COSEM enable seamless integration into industrial control systems.
