Performance and LTU Technology
At the core of the LTU-Pro is the proprietary Ubiquiti LTU processor and a unique radio architecture unconstrained by the limitations of standard 802.11 Wi-Fi. This enables real-world TCP/IP throughput exceeding 600 Mbps, with the potential to surpass 1 Gbps through future firmware updates. Support for modulation up to 4096QAM significantly enhances spectral efficiency and connection stability in congested RF environments.
Flexible Frequency Planning
The LTU-Pro offers independent configuration of channel width for both transmit and receive across the entire 5 GHz band. Available options include 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 MHz, with future support for up to 100 MHz. The Frequency Split feature allows the use of different frequencies for TX and RX, effectively mitigating local interference and improving link reliability.
Management and Operating Modes
The device supports two CPE modes: transparent bridge and hardware NAT router, simplifying integration into any network architecture. Configuration is managed through the intuitive LTU Configuration Interface or centrally via the Ubiquiti Network Management System (UNMS). The Find My AP feature enables the client radio to automatically scan and locate compatible base stations, as well as be managed from the access point side.
Installation and Design
A rugged enclosure and well-engineered mounting hardware ensure quick and secure installation on a mast. The built-in mechanical tilt adjustment (±15° range) allows precise alignment without additional accessories. Automatic Output Power adjustment (enabled by default) optimizes EIRP levels, while signal management from the base station helps maintain the highest possible modulation across the entire PtMP network.
