Powerful Wireless Features

The NanoStation 5AC supports the airMAX ac protocol with selectable channel bandwidths from 10 to 80 MHz in PtP mode and 10 to 40 MHz in PtMP mode. Automatic channel selection, adaptive transmit power control, and automatic distance adjustment (ACK timing) optimize the connection independently. Modulation extends up to 256QAM to achieve high data rates even under challenging conditions. The integrated Long-Range PtP Link Mode maximizes range for point-to-point connections.

Advanced RF Analysis

A dedicated processor on the board powers a second, independent radio that continuously scans the entire 5 GHz spectrum. airOS 8 provides real-time, persistent RF Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) constellation diagrams as well as signal, noise, and interference (SNI) graphs. The built-in airView spectrum analysis tool identifies interference signatures, enabling precise frequency planning. This multi-radio architecture delivers industry-leading RF analytics without impacting user data traffic.

Easy Management and Deployment

The airOS 8 operating system features a modern HTML5 interface optimized for mobile devices. Dynamic configuration changes are validated instantly, and the airMagic channel selection tool simplifies initial setup. Detailed device statistics, RF diagnostic tools, and support for Access Point PtMP airMAX Mixed Mode make the NanoStation 5AC a flexible platform for a wide range of deployment scenarios. Power is supplied via the included 24V Gigabit PoE injector or 802.3af Alternative A.

Robust Design and Installation

The UV-resistant polycarbonate housing reliably protects the electronics in temperatures from -40 to 70 °C and humidity levels of 5 to 95% (non-condensing). The integrated dual-linear polarization antenna with 16 dBi gain and 45° beamwidth ensures stable directional performance. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one with software-enabled PoE output—provide flexible connectivity options. Mast mounting is included, and the total weight is just 233 g.
