High-Performance Directional Wireless
The PowerBeam M5 AC operates in the 5 GHz band from 5150 to 5875 MHz and supports the airMAX ac protocol for efficient point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections. With 27 dBi antenna gain and dual-linear polarization, it precisely focuses transmit power and ensures high interference resistance through its uniform radiation pattern. Adjustable channel bandwidths from 10 to 80 MHz (PtP) or 10 to 40 MHz (PtMP) allow flexible adaptation to environmental conditions. A powerful Atheros MIPS 74Kc processor with 720 MHz, 128 MB DDR2 RAM, and 16 MB flash memory ensures reliable packet processing. Power is supplied via passive PoE (24 V, 0.5 A) with a maximum consumption of just 8.5 W, supported by a voltage range of 20-26 VDC. The Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000) provides wired connectivity.
Rugged Design for Outdoor Use
The UV-stabilized plastic housing and included radome shield the electronics reliably from weather conditions. The mast mounting bracket is included and allows mechanical tilt adjustment of 20° upward and 10° downward. The PowerBeam M5 AC withstands wind speeds of up to 96 km/h with a wind load of 264.6 N and is designed for operation in temperatures from -40 to 70 °C and relative humidity of 5 to 95% (non-condensing). Extensive environmental testing according to IEC and ETSI standards confirms its durability: salt spray (IEC 68-2-11), vibration (IEC 68-2-6), thermal shock (IEC 68-2-14), UV exposure (IEC 68-2-5 at 40 °C), and driving rain (ETS 300 019-1-4). Integrated ESD/EMP protection of ±24 kV (air and contact discharge) safeguards the electronics against electrostatic discharges and surges. The PowerBeam M5 AC complies with FCC, IC, CE, and RoHS certifications.
