Performance & Throughput

The Wave Nano leverages the 57–71 GHz frequency band with channel bandwidths of 2160 MHz and 1080 MHz, supporting 16QAM and QPSK modulation. Its integrated 41 dBi antenna and 1° azimuth/elevation beamwidth ensure focused signal delivery, enabling stable PtMP links at distances up to 5 km. With a total throughput of 2 Gbps (1 Gbps duplex), the device handles bandwidth-intensive applications such as video backhaul and high-speed internet access.

Design & Deployment

Built for harsh environments, the Wave Nano features an aluminum alloy and UV-stabilized plastic enclosure with IPX6 weatherproofing. It withstands wind loading of 127 N at 200 km/h and operates in temperatures from -40 to 60° C with 5–95% noncondensing humidity. The compact form factor (Ø256.5 x 113.5 mm, 932 g without mount) and pole mount compatibility (25–63.5 mm diameter) simplify installation on towers or rooftops. A single Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port provides connectivity, powered by 48VDC or 24VDC passive PoE (4-pair or 2-pair), with an included 48VDC, 0.65A adapter; it can also be powered directly by a UISP Router or UISP Switch.

Management & Software

Running airOS, the Wave Nano supports bridge and router modes, with comprehensive management via the UISP application. Bluetooth-based setup through the UISP app accelerates initial configuration, while the web UI offers full control. Integrated tools—antenna alignment, discovery utility, ping, trace route, and speed test—streamline deployment and troubleshooting. The device also supports UISP, SNMP, NTP client, and ping watchdog for ongoing monitoring.

Security & Reliability

Data transmission is secured with WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. The integrated GPS provides synchronization for PtMP networks, and the Wave technology with discovery protocol ensures efficient link establishment. Certified to FCC, IC, and CE standards, the Wave Nano meets regulatory requirements for global deployment. A factory reset button and LED indicators (power, Ethernet, GPS, link) aid in maintenance and diagnostics.
