Performance & Throughput

The router delivers up to 2.5 Gbps of total routing throughput, providing ample capacity for wired and wireless connections operating in concert. Cellular downlink reaches up to 2 Gbps with uplink up to 211 Mbps across its four embedded modems. A swappable cellular module allows the hardware to be upgraded when newer cellular technologies become available, protecting the investment over time.

Connectivity & Interfaces

Four embedded cellular modems with redundant SIM slots enable simultaneous connection to up to 16 cellular providers, maximizing coverage and reliability. The router exposes 16x QMA cellular antenna connectors and 1x QMA GPS antenna connector for precise positioning and signal reception. Wi-Fi is provided through simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with 2x2 MIMO, supporting both Wi-Fi WAN and access point modes via 4x RP-SMA antenna connectors. Two USB interfaces are available for peripheral connectivity.

Power & PoE

The router accepts 12V to 56V DC input through both a power port and a terminal block, accommodating a range of deployment power sources. Power consumption peaks at 55W. Up to 8x 802.3at PoE outputs can power connected devices directly, with the requirement that 2x 54V DC inputs are needed for all eight PoE outputs to deliver full 802.3at power; a single 54V DC input supports four ports at that level.

SpeedFusion VPN

SpeedFusion functionality includes Hot Failover, Smoothing, and Bandwidth Bonding, enabling seamless session persistence across multiple WAN links. Unencrypted SpeedFusion throughput reaches 600 Mbps, while 256-bit AES encrypted tunnels achieve 500 Mbps. The platform supports 3, 20, or 50 PepVPN or SpeedFusion peers, scaling from small branch deployments to larger distributed networks.

Operating temperature spans -40° to 149°F (-40° to 65°C) with humidity tolerance from 15% to 95% non-condensing, suiting the router for demanding environments. Certification coverage includes FCC, CE, RoHS, RCM, E-Mark, PTCRB, EN61373 shock and vibration resistance, EN50155 railway applications, EN61000 electromagnetic compatibility, and ESN for emergency services network deployments. Best practice Marine Antenna Installation HD4 MBX

Use the same type of antenna for all connectors on a particular modem. For the MAX HD4 MBX, you can connect four SISO antennas to one modem and 2x2 MIMO antennas to the remaining modems if needed. Ensure antennas are spaced for optimal performance, especially in stable conditions like vessels with minimal roll.
