Cellular Connectivity and Antennas

The RUT276 supports 4G and 5G cellular technologies, with extensive 5G NR SA band coverage including n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n28, n41, n77, n78, and n79, along with numerous LTE FDD and TDD bands. The router is equipped with two Mini SIM 2FF (1.8 V/3 V) SIM slots mounted in a stacked dual SIM drawer, allowing SIM cards from different carriers to be used. Two SMA connectors are dedicated to the mobile antennas, complemented by an RP-SMA connector for the Wi-Fi antenna.

Serial Interfaces and I/O

The router integrates RS232 and RS485 serial interfaces as well as an I/O connector block, enabling it to interface directly with industrial equipment such as PLCs, sensors, and fieldbus gateways. Native Modbus support includes 8-bit (INT, UINT), 16-bit (INT, UINT, MSB or LSB first), and 32-bit (float, INT, UINT, ABCD, DCBA, CDAB, BADC, HEX, ASCII) data types, offering broad compatibility with common industrial protocols.

Wireless Networking

The RUT276 provides Wi-Fi 4 connectivity compliant with the IEEE 802.11b/g/n standard, with several operating modes: Access Point (AP), Client (STA), Mesh (802.11s), and Multi-AP. Advanced features include fast roaming (802.11r), radio resource measurement (802.11k), BSS transition management (802.11v), client isolation, SSID hiding, and WMM support. These capabilities allow the router to serve as a primary access point or mesh node in a multi-point deployment.

Network Management with RutOS

The router runs RutOS, the operating system from Teltonika Networks. RutOS allows the router's ports to be viewed and managed individually, with the ability to enable or disable each port, enable auto-configuration, and change the transmission speed. DHCP configuration covers static and dynamic IP address allocation, DHCP relay, and the management of static leases by MAC address with wildcard support. The file system supports the FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext3, and ext4 formats, making it easy to store and access data on external media.
