Powerful Connectivity and Failover

The MAX BR1 Mini 5G uses an integrated CAT-7 modem with a downlink rate of 300 Mbps and 150 Mbps uplink. The redundant SIM slots (Nano-SIM and eSIM) enable automatic switching between mobile carriers to prevent connection drops. The device is certified for leading US carriers AT&T, FirstNet, T-Mobile, and Verizon and supports a wide range of LTE and 3G bands for optimal coverage.

SpeedFusion technology aggregates multiple WAN connections and provides hot failover, WAN smoothing, and bandwidth bonding. Combined with intelligent load balancing (supporting algorithms such as Weighted Balance, Priority, Overflow, and Lowest Latency), available bandwidth is efficiently utilized. The router throughput is 300 Mbps, while PepVPN connections reach 80 Mbps without encryption and 60 Mbps with 256-bit AES. Up to 60 users can work reliably at the same time.

Flexible Integration and Management

The compact router (125.7 x 107 x 35 mm, 430 g) is ideal for telemetry and IoT applications thanks to its wide voltage range of 10V–30V DC and GPIO interface. A power port with GPIO allows direct integration of sensors and actuators. The optional DIN rail mount simplifies installation in control cabinets.

Management options include a web interface, command-line interface (CLI), and the cloud-based InControl management platform. SNMP v1/v2c/v3, Syslog, and email notifications provide comprehensive monitoring data. VLAN support, DHCP server, DNS proxy, and advanced QoS features (individual bandwidth limits, application prioritization) round out network management capabilities.

Security and Certifications

The MAX BR1 Mini 5G deliberately omits Wi-Fi and GPS functionality to minimize the attack surface in security-critical environments. A stateful firewall, DoS prevention, and web blocking protect the network from threats. VPN connections are encrypted with 256-bit AES; supported protocols include SpeedFusion VPN, IPsec (Network-to-Network), and PPTP VPN with RADIUS or LDAP authentication.

The device meets the stringent requirements of FCC, CE, RoHS, UL+CUL (62368-1), and UL 121201 (Class I and Division 2) certifications, making it suitable for use in hazardous locations. The one-year limited warranty underscores the reliability of Peplink hardware.
